Minimum block lengths
Set a two hour minimum on the live room and a one hour minimum on the booth, so nobody books a thirty minute slot that wrecks the day.
Stop trading texts and DMs to fill the session calendar. Reserving gives US recording studios, rehearsal rooms and podcast studios one booking page for every room. Clients pick a room, a block of hours and a date, pay a deposit to hold it and get reminders by text. You pay a flat subscription with no Reserving fee per booking.

Recording studio booking software reserves a room for a block of hours, adds setup and teardown time around it, and collects a deposit so the session is held. Reserving does this on one board shared by website, phone and walk-in bookings. Deposits, card holds and two-way SMS come with Growth. It does not run engineer payroll, gear inventory or project files.
Most studios lose money in the gap between "are you free Saturday?" and the day itself. A band holds a block with a text, never pays, and the room sits empty while a paying client was turned away. Late cancellations eat the engineer's day. Putting the rooms, the block lengths and the deposit rule on the booking page closes that gap.
Add the live room, the vocal booth, the rehearsal room and the podcast set as separate rooms, each with its own hours and capacity.
Offer two, four or eight hour blocks as services, with a buffer for setup and teardown so back to back clients never overlap.
On Growth, require a deposit or a card hold at booking. Your cancellation terms show before checkout, so a held date is a committed date.
Clients get a confirmation and reminders. Two-way SMS on Growth lets them reply to move a start time before the engineer is in.
A studio with three rooms and two engineers cannot run on a shared notes app. Give each room its own row, and record every session there, whether it came from your website, a call or someone at the front desk.
The sample bookings are illustrations, not customer activity. The demo shows rooms of different sizes with blocks of different lengths on the same day.
Studios sell hours in a room, often with an engineer attached. The booking page needs to promise the room and the time, and your team handles the creative side.
Set a two hour minimum on the live room and a one hour minimum on the booth, so nobody books a thirty minute slot that wrecks the day.
Drum mics, amps and cables take time. Add the minutes as a buffer on each block and the next client starts after your team is ready.
Bands that pay a deposit show up. Set a flat amount per block on Growth and credit it against the final invoice.
Open late evening blocks only where you can staff them. Weekday daytime can have a lower rate through a separate service.
Offer an engineer, a backline rental or extra hours as add-ons, so the client sees what the session includes before paying.
Keep a card on file for long blocks and apply your late cancellation fee when a client skips. Terms are shown before they confirm.
Multiple rooms, engineers and long blocks. Deposits protect the day, and the board shows which room is open for a quick vocal session.
Many short hourly bookings by bands that book the same night every week. Clients rebook from the same page without a message to the owner.
One or two sets rented by the hour. Clients pick a time and pay a deposit, and the confirmation carries your arrival instructions.
Cyc walls and daylight rooms rented by the half day. The same room, block and deposit model applies.
Choose monthly or yearly billing and buy online with no contract. Annual subscriptions are paid upfront. Rooms within one studio do not each need their own subscription.

It depends on how much of the business you want in one system. Reserving suits studios that want online room booking, deposits and a shared calendar at a flat monthly price. A management suite makes sense if you also need gear tracking and engineer payroll in the same tool.
Yes. Clients choose a room, a block length and a date, and the page shows only open times. They confirm with name, phone and email, and on Growth a deposit can be required before the session is final.
Turn on Growth and set a deposit on each block. The client pays it when they book, it comes off the final invoice and your cancellation terms show before checkout. Deposits go to your own payment account.
Record every session, from the website, the phone and the front desk, on the same board. A room already held, including its setup and teardown buffer, is not offered again.
Engineers and rentals can be sold as add-ons, but Reserving does not track engineer payroll, gear inventory or project files. Keep those in the tools you already use.
Reserving costs 49 USD a month for Core or 149 USD for Growth per studio, with yearly billing at 24 and 74 USD a month. Core fits online booking, Growth adds deposits, card holds and two-way SMS. There is no fee per booking.
