Day spas with 4 to 10 therapists
Growth at 149 USD, or 74 USD billed yearly: 10 staff logins, unlimited bookings, rooms and therapists on one board, deposits and two-way SMS. No sales call and no contract.
Reserving is spa scheduling software that books every treatment as a therapist, a room and its real length, so a 90 minute massage never lands in a room that is still being turned. Clients book online from your site, Google or Instagram; deposits apply to long treatments and weekends; reminders go out by text 48 hours and 3 hours ahead. It costs 49 USD a month per location, or 149 USD (74 USD billed yearly) for up to 10 staff with deposits and SMS.

A spa appointment needs two things free at the same moment: a qualified therapist and a room that suits the treatment. Good spa scheduling software checks both on every booking, adds the time it takes to strip and remake the room, and only then offers the slot. If either one is taken, the time never appears on the booking page.
That is what the board above does. Six rooms, including a couples suite and a facial room, each with its own bookings. Change the treatment length and watch which rooms can still fit it after a 15 minute turnaround. Most salon apps book a person and a time; a spa that shares four rooms between eight therapists needs the room in the calculation too, or two people get walked into the same room at 2 pm.

One board for the whole spa, with the online booking page on your own domain and the client list owned by you.

Spa scheduling software costs about 30 to 300 USD a month for one location in the US. The spread comes from two things: whether you pay per therapist or per location, and which plan first includes room and resource scheduling. On several platforms rooms sit on a middle or upper tier.
Here is the list price for one day spa with six therapists and shared treatment rooms, on the plan that includes room scheduling where the vendor gates it. GlossGenius and Vagaro cost less than our monthly Growth plan, and we show that.
Full plan breakdowns are in our Boulevard pricing and Mindbody pricing guides.

Take a deposit or hold a card on the bookings where an empty room hurts: treatments of 90 minutes and longer, couples bookings, weekends and first visits. Leave regular 60 minute bookings card-free. Then send a text 48 hours and 3 hours ahead, and let the client cancel by replying, so the room can be resold that morning instead of sitting dark.
| Booking | Rule | What the client sees |
|---|---|---|
| Returning client, 60 min massage, weekday | none | name, phone and email book the room |
| Any treatment of 90 min or more | deposit | 30 USD deposit, taken off the bill |
| Saturday or Sunday | card hold | card held, released at check-in |
| First visit | card hold | card held, released at check-in |
| Late cancellation or no-show | your policy | the fee you set is charged to the held card |
These are the rules the spa demo runs. Set a 90 minute treatment or a Saturday date in the hero and the rule changes on the confirmation. Our no-show fee policy guide has wording clients accept.

The best spa scheduling software is the one that checks room and therapist on every booking at a price that does not climb with each hire. For a solo massage therapist, a low-cost per-person app such as GlossGenius or Vagaro is usually enough. For a day spa or wellness clinic with five or more therapists sharing rooms, look for room scheduling on the plan you can afford, deposits by treatment and one price per location.
Growth at 149 USD, or 74 USD billed yearly: 10 staff logins, unlimited bookings, rooms and therapists on one board, deposits and two-way SMS. No sales call and no contract.
Book practitioners by room and length, hold a card on first appointments, and keep intake notes on the client record. See appointment scheduling software for clinic setups.
Multi-Venue at 499 USD a month, or 249 USD billed yearly, for up to five spas with unlimited staff, one client list and group reporting. Details on multi-venue booking.

US day spas most often run on Vagaro, Boulevard, Mangomint, Mindbody, GlossGenius, Square Appointments or Booksy. They charge in very different ways, so compare the plan your spa would actually need, not the entry price.
| Software | How it charges | Rooms and resources | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boulevard | per location, Essentials up to 5 providers, Premier 293 USD, Prestige 410 USD, add-ons extra | yes | upscale spas that want POS, forms and marketing in one tool |
| Mangomint | 120 USD per location plus 10 USD per user | yes | spas that want front desk automation and memberships |
| Mindbody | quote only, Accelerate reported at 259 to 279 USD | Accelerate and up | studios that also run classes |
| Vagaro | 30 USD plus 10 USD per calendar, add-ons extra | check the plan | small spas on a tight budget |
| GlossGenius | 28, 56 or 168 USD by plan, 2.6% card fee | Gold and up | small teams that want simple payments |
| Square Appointments | free tier, then 49 or 149 USD per location | Premium | spas already on Square POS |
| Reserving | 49 or 149 USD per location, 499 USD for 5, half that yearly | every plan | spas with shared rooms that want deposits and one flat price |

Most spas take their first online booking the same day. If you are moving from another system, run both for a week and import clients by CSV, so nobody who already booked is lost.
Treatment rooms, the couples suite, the facial room and the wet room, each with the treatments it can host and the minutes it takes to turn.
One login each, with working hours, days off and the treatments they are trained for.
60 and 90 minute massage, facials, wraps and packages, each with its minutes, so the board never offers a slot that runs into the next booking.
A deposit on long treatments, a card hold on weekends and first visits. Then put the booking link on your site, your Google Business Profile and your Instagram bio.
Salon software usually books a stylist and a chair. Spa booking software also has to book the room, because one treatment ties up a therapist and a specific room, plus the time to reset it. If your therapists share rooms, make sure the plan you are quoted includes room or resource scheduling, since several vendors keep it on a higher tier.
Yes. The couples suite is set up as its own room, so it is only ever sold once at a time, and clients book it from the same page as any other treatment. Add a deposit rule to couples bookings, because a no-show there empties a room and two therapists' hours.
Yes. On Growth you set deposit and card-hold rules by treatment length, weekday and first visit. The deposit comes off the bill, a held card is released at check-in, and your late cancellation fee is charged to the held card. We take no percentage of deposits or fees; your payment provider charges its normal rate.
No. Plans are monthly or yearly and you buy them online without a sales call. Yearly billing is half the monthly price: Growth is 74 USD a month billed yearly instead of 149 USD.
Core includes 3 staff logins and 300 bookings a month. Growth includes 10 staff logins and unlimited bookings. Multi-Venue covers up to five locations with no staff limit.
Yes. Export your client list as a CSV from your current system and import it, then keep both systems open for a week until existing bookings have passed. Future bookings stay in the old system until their date, so nobody is lost in the switch.
