Weekday open play

Families and small groups. A 90 minute lane with a name and phone number is enough, and the counter handles shoes.
Reserving is bowling alley booking software for independent bowling centers and bowling bars with 6 to 40 lanes. Guests pick a date, a start time and how many people are bowling, and the booking page offers a lane that fits the group and is free for the whole session, or two side by side lanes for a party. Weekend nights and big groups can require a deposit, reminders go out by text, and walk-ins sit on the same lane board. It costs 49 USD a month per center, or 149 USD (74 USD billed yearly) with deposits and two-way SMS, and we take no cut of your lane revenue.

Most bowling centers lose money on a busy night in two quiet ways. A group of five reserves a lane by phone and never shows, so the lane sits dark at 8 pm while families wait at the counter. And a party of eleven arrives to find their two lanes are at opposite ends of the house, because the paper sheet did not show who was where.
A bowling lane reservation system puts every lane on one board. Online, guests only see times when a lane is free for their whole session, groups of seven or more are offered two lanes next to each other, and the lanes your league uses on league night are already taken before the public books. Try it in the demo above with five bowlers on a Saturday, then with ten.
Lanes 5 and 6 are sold together for the party, and the league lanes never show up on the public booking page.
02
Most US bowling centers take reservations per lane per hour, with a higher rate on Friday and Saturday nights, and sell parties as packages of lane time plus shoes and food. Per-game pricing stays at the counter for walk-ins. Online, the setup that works is to sell a lane for a fixed session, ask for money up front where a no-show really costs you, and keep weekday booking quick.

Staff book the league lanes on the board, so online booking only sells the lanes that are left.
The amounts and windows are examples you set yourself, not an industry rule. Show your cancellation terms on the booking page and in the confirmation text; our no-show fee policy guide has wording guests accept at the counter.

Yes. When a group is too big for one lane, the booking page looks for two adjoining lanes that are both free for the whole session, and books them together under one name and one deposit. In the demo, set ten bowlers and it pairs Lane 5 with Lane 6 or Lane 7 with Lane 8 and asks for a deposit of 10 USD a head.
That matters on a Saturday afternoon, when party groups are the most valuable bookings you take and the most expensive to lose. If a party cancels by reply to the reminder text two hours out, both lanes go back on sale for the families at the counter. Escape rooms and axe throwing venues run the same group logic, as on our axe throwing booking software page.

Bowling alley booking software costs roughly 30 to 400 USD a month for one US center when the price is published. Simple booking calendars sit at the bottom, venue booking tools built for entertainment centers run 150 to 400 USD, and full bowling management suites with POS and scoring links are sold on custom quotes.
Here is the monthly list price for a twelve lane center taking online lane bookings. Watch two things: tools that charge per lane get more expensive as you add lanes, and some take a percentage of every paid booking on top.
06
For an independent bowling center with 6 to 24 lanes that already has scoring and a POS it is happy with, the best booking software is a lane reservation system that sells lanes by group size, pairs lanes for parties, takes deposits on the nights you sell out and costs the same however busy you get. Reserving Growth does all four for 74 to 149 USD a month.
Pick something else if your center is a different shape. If you want one vendor for scoring, POS, booking and lane control on Brunswick or QubicaAMF equipment, the scoring maker's own suite fits better. If bowling is one attraction among laser tag, arcade cards and waivers in a family entertainment center, look at CenterEdge, Clubspeed or ROLLER. Reserving does not connect to scoring systems or switch lanes on, and the table below says so.
07
Where a competitor is the better fit, the table says so.
| Tool | How it charges | Scoring and POS | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reserving | 49 or 149 USD per center a month, half billed yearly, no booking fee | no, booking, deposits and texts only | independent centers and bowling bars with 6 to 40 lanes |
| REX | from 195 USD per location a month, higher tiers to 395 USD | venue booking and packages | centers running several activities next to bowling |
| Funbutler | from 199 USD a month shown, quote based | booking, packages and upsells | entertainment centers selling shoes and food packages online |
| anny | 5 to 15 USD per lane a month plus 5% and 0.40 USD per paid booking | no | very small centers with few paid bookings |
| Brunswick Sync, CenterEdge, Clubspeed | custom quotes | yes, full suites | large centers and FECs replacing scoring, POS and booking at once |
Prices from each vendor's public pricing page or published buyer guides in October 2026; vendors on custom quotes did not publish numbers. If your bar also rents pool tables or karaoke rooms by the hour, our pool hall software and karaoke booking software pages show the same board with tables and rooms.

Most centers take their first online booking the same afternoon. There is no sales call, no hardware and nothing to install at the counter.
Name each lane, set how many bowlers it takes and which pairs sit side by side for parties.
Sell 60, 90 or 120 minute sessions, block reset time after each group, and set hours per day including late nights.
For example a card hold Friday and Saturday after 6 pm, 10 USD a head for parties, and the league lanes booked by staff.
Paste the widget on your site, add the link to your Google profile and Facebook page, and turn on text reminders.
The widget works on any website builder and from a Google Business Profile link; see the booking widget page. Groups with several centers can share one guest list on Multi-Venue.
Yes, when the center uses a bowling lane reservation system. Guests choose a date, a start time and the number of bowlers, and the booking page offers only lanes that are free for the whole session. On Growth they pay a deposit or leave a card on the same screen, and the booking is confirmed by text and email straight away.
Most centers put up to six bowlers on a lane, because more than that makes a game drag. In Reserving you set the number per lane yourself, and groups bigger than one lane are offered two adjoining lanes under one booking.
Both. Walk-ins at the counter usually pay per game, while reservations, parties and weekend nights are usually sold per lane per hour, often with shoes and food packaged in. Reserving books the lane for the session length you sell, and you set deposits and card holds on top.
Take money up front only where a no-show costs you. On Growth you hold a card on Friday and Saturday nights and take a deposit from parties, and two-way text reminders let guests cancel by reply, so the lane goes back on sale for walk-ins instead of sitting dark.
No. Reserving handles lanes, bookings, deposits and reminders and does not talk to Brunswick, QubicaAMF or Steltronic scoring, or switch lanes on. Your counter turns the lane on when the group checks in, as it does today. If you need that integration, look at the scoring maker's own booking suite.
Yes. Staff book the league lanes on the board for league night, so the public booking page only sells the lanes that are left. League standings, averages and sanctioning stay in your league software; Reserving does not manage those.
No. You pay 49, 149 or 499 USD a month, half that billed yearly, and nothing per booking. Your payment provider charges its normal card rate on deposits and holds that are charged.
No. Plans are monthly or yearly and you buy them online. Core includes 300 bookings a month, which suits a small center that takes most guests as walk-ins; Growth has no booking limit and adds deposits and two-way SMS.
