Take an eight-chair salon with an average ticket of 120 USD. The Booksy subscription is 169.99 USD a month. If Boost brings in twelve new clients that month, Booksy takes 30% of each first visit, which is 432 USD. The total before card fees is about 602 USD, and that month the salon paid more for marketplace clients than for the software.
On Reserving Growth the same salon pays 149 USD. There is no marketplace, so those twelve clients have to find you on Google, Instagram or your own site, where the booking button now lives. If most of your new clients already come from those places, the commission line disappears. If the Booksy app is where your new clients come from, the commission may be worth paying, and you should keep it.
