Mindbody does not publish US prices; you get a quote after a sales call. Studios and 2026 pricing reviews report about 99 to 159 USD a month per location for Starter, 259 to 279 USD for Accelerate and about 499 USD for Ultimate, with Ultimate Plus from about 699 USD. Card processing, a 20% fee on new marketplace clients and the branded app come on top, and contracts are commonly reported at 24 months.

How much does Mindbody cost per month?

Mindbody sells four published tiers and an enterprise plan, all priced per location. Its own pricing page lists the plans and the features in each, but shows only one starting price, and not in dollars. The US figures below are the ranges customers and pricing reviews report after the quote.

Plan names and the feature split are from mindbodyonline.com/business/pricing, which lists no setup fee on any plan. Dollar ranges are from 2026 pricing reviews (fitbudd, koalendar, pabau) and customer reports. Your quote can differ, so ask for it in writing.

Why the wide range on Starter? Reviews report that most studios are quoted toward the top of it once the features they asked for are scoped. Treat 99 USD as the headline and 129 to 159 USD as the more likely bill.

Which Mindbody plan does a spa actually need?

For a spa, massage studio or clinic with shared treatment rooms, the answer is usually Accelerate. Mindbody's own plan list puts room and resource management in Accelerate, not Starter. Without it, nothing stops two therapists from booking the same room at 2 pm, and the front desk becomes the double-booking check.

That one feature moves a typical spa from about 150 to about 270 USD a month per location. If you also want automated marketing texts and email campaigns, those sit in Ultimate at about 499 USD. A yoga or pilates studio selling classes and memberships has a different need, and Starter often covers it.

What fees does Mindbody charge on top of the plan?

These lines regularly push the real bill past the plan price. None of them appears in the headline number.

Processing is the biggest of these for most businesses. On 20,000 USD a month in card payments at a 110 USD average ticket, a 2.99% plus 30 cents rate costs about 650 USD. At 2.6% flat it would be 520 USD. That 130 USD a month gap is worth asking about, because processing rates are often negotiable before you sign and rarely after.

The marketplace fee is the one owners notice last. A new client who finds you in the Mindbody app and books a 140 USD massage costs you 28 USD on that first visit. Ten of those a month is 280 USD. Mindbody also owns ClassPass, and ClassPass bookings are paid on their own terms, separate from your Mindbody plan.

Does Mindbody have a contract?

Yes, in most cases. Pricing reviews and customer reports describe 24-month agreements as the standard term, and Mindbody's own page says that cancelling may require advance notice depending on your agreement. Promotional pricing is often tied to the term.

Before you sign, get three things in writing: the term length, the notice window to cancel or not renew, and what happens to the price at renewal. Then put the renewal date somewhere you will see it; a two-year agreement with a 60-day notice window is easy to miss, and a contract management tool that flags renewal dates earns its keep on exactly this kind of term.

Mindbody cost for a real business, three examples

Here is a year at three sizes, using the middle of each reported range and leaving processing out, since it depends on your volume. The last column is what the same business pays on a booking system priced per location.

The spa row is the one that matters. On Mindbody the room feature costs Accelerate; on Reserving, rooms and therapists are checked on every booking on every plan, and Growth adds deposits by service and two-way SMS reminders. Billed yearly, the six-therapist spa pays 888 USD instead of about 3,240 USD, before processing.

What you give up is honest to state: Reserving does not sell class schedules, memberships, class packs or retail, and it has no consumer marketplace. If those are how you make money, Mindbody or a class-first tool is the better buy.

Is Mindbody worth it?

For a fitness or yoga studio that lives on classes, memberships and ClassPass traffic, often yes. Few tools cover that whole loop, and the marketplace does bring in clients. For an appointment business, such as a day spa, massage studio, med spa front desk or wellness clinic, the math is harder. You pay Accelerate prices mainly for room management, sign a long agreement and pay a commission on new app clients.

What is cheaper than Mindbody for a spa?

For appointment-based spas and clinics, a booking system built around staff and rooms usually costs less than half of Mindbody Accelerate. Reserving charges 49 USD a month on Core, 149 USD on Growth with 10 staff logins, deposits and SMS, and 499 USD on Multi-Venue for up to five locations. Yearly billing halves each price. There is no contract beyond the billing period you choose, no sales call and no percentage of payments or deposits.

• The processing rate for in-person, online and keyed payments, in writing
• How long the agreement runs, and the notice needed to cancel or not renew
• Whether the price changes at renewal
• How the 20% new client fee works, and whether you can switch the marketplace off
• How a second location is billed
• Whether you can export clients, notes and history at any time
