Reserving

SevenRooms alternative with published pricing per venue

SevenRooms does not publish its prices. Every plan starts with a demo and a quote. Reserving is a SevenRooms alternative for restaurants that want the reservation book, deposits, guest records and reminders at a price you can read today: 49 or 149 USD per venue a month, no cover fees, no sales call to get started.

How much does SevenRooms cost per month?

SevenRooms does not list a monthly price. Its pricing page shows three plans, Starter, Growth and Premium, each behind a "Get a quote" button, and the final number depends on venue count, modules and add-ons agreed with sales. You learn the cost only after a demo.

The add-ons are where the quote grows. SevenRooms sells email marketing, event management, Voice AI, WhatsApp and text marketing, API access and a group portal as separate modules. A restaurant that wants the CRM for marketing will be quoted a different product than one that only needs the book.

Before you sign any quote, get these lines in writing: the monthly fee per venue, setup and onboarding charges, the contract length and renewal notice, payment processing rates, and SMS or messaging costs. The table below puts the quote-only model next to a published price list.

What moves across from SevenRooms

The parts a host uses every service, on one board, with the booking page on your own domain and the guest list in your hands.

  • A booking widget on your own website, styled to match it, plus a booking link for Google and Instagram
  • Party-to-table fit with your turn times and buffers, so one table is never promised twice
  • Guest records with visit history, notes and allergies, exportable any day
  • Deposit and card-hold rules by party size, day part and service, on Growth
  • SMS reminders with two-way confirm and cancel, and a waiting queue that refills cancelled slots
  • A no-show risk score on every booking, with the reasons listed

What is better than SevenRooms?

Nothing is better across the board. SevenRooms is built for hospitality groups that run guest marketing as a department. For an independent restaurant or a small group that needs a reliable book, deposits and reminders, a system with a published per-venue price is usually the better buy, because you pay for what you use and can start the same day.

Stay on SevenRooms if

  • You have a marketing team that sends segmented email and SMS campaigns from guest data every week
  • You run hotel food and beverage, nightlife tables or bottle service alongside dining
  • You want reservations surfaced to DoorDash app users, now that DoorDash owns SevenRooms
  • Your POS and CRM integrations are already built around it

In those cases the CRM depth is the product you pay for, and a lighter system would be a step back.

Choose Reserving if

  • You want a price you can put in a budget before anyone calls you
  • You need the reservation book, deposits and reminders more than a marketing suite
  • You run one to five venues and want them on one board at a known monthly cost
  • You prefer to cancel from inside the account, not through a renewal notice period

Here the enterprise modules are cost you carry without using, and a flat per-venue plan removes them.

04

SevenRooms alternative for restaurant groups

Groups are where quote-based pricing is hardest to compare, because the number changes with every venue you add. On Reserving, Multi-Venue is 499 USD a month for up to five venues, or 399 USD a month billed yearly. That covers unlimited staff logins, guest profiles shared across the group, group reporting on covers, cancellations and no-show rate, and yield rules such as minimum spend and prepaid experiences per venue.

Beyond five venues, Enterprise adds single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, an audit log, a written uptime commitment and invoicing against a purchase order. It is quoted by sales, like SevenRooms, but the per-venue plans below it stay public so you always know the floor. See the multi-venue reservation system for how a group is set up.

05

How do I switch from SevenRooms without losing bookings?

Check your contract's notice period first, then export future reservations and guest profiles, import them, and move every booking button to the new page. Run both books for one service so hosts learn the board before the old one closes.

  1. 01

    Read the contract

Find the term end date, the renewal notice period and any clause on data export. Give notice in writing once you know the date you will cut over.

  2. 02

    Export your data

Download future reservations and guest profiles with visit history, tags and notes. Ask your SevenRooms contact for the export in writing if it is not in your dashboard.

  3. 03

    Set up the room

Enter tables, seats, turn times per party size, buffers and service windows, plus any deposit rules. A twenty-table dining room takes an afternoon.

  4. 04

    Import and cut over

Import bookings and guests by CSV, paste the widget on your site, and point your Google profile and Instagram links at your booking page. Close new availability on the old system after one service.

FAQ

Questions restaurants ask before leaving SevenRooms

See pricing
Is SevenRooms pricing public?

No. SevenRooms shows plan names, Starter, Growth and Premium, but no prices. Each plan leads to a quote request, and the price is set after a demo based on venue count, modules and add-ons. If you need a number for a budget today, a system with published per-venue pricing such as Reserving, at 49 or 149 USD a month, gives you one.

Does SevenRooms charge per cover?

SevenRooms says bookings from its DoorDash and Deliveroo reservation marketplace come with no cover fees. Its cost sits in the subscription, the modules you add and payment processing, all agreed in the quote. Reserving also charges no fee per guest on any booking, whatever the channel.

Who owns SevenRooms?

DoorDash owns SevenRooms. It completed the acquisition in June 2025, and SevenRooms now runs as part of the DoorDash Commerce Platform for restaurants. For a restaurant, the practical effect is marketplace exposure to DoorDash users, and a reservation platform tied to a delivery company.

Is SevenRooms better than OpenTable?

They sell different things. OpenTable sells a large diner network with published plans from 149 USD a month plus 1.00 to 1.50 USD per network cover. SevenRooms sells guest CRM and marketing on a quoted contract. A restaurant that mostly books regulars and locals often needs neither, and a flat per-venue system costs less. Our OpenTable alternative page prices that out cover by cover.

Can I export my guest data from SevenRooms?

You can ask for an export of your reservations and guest profiles. What you receive and in which format depends on your plan and contract, so request it in writing before you give notice. On Reserving, the guest list exports from the dashboard at any time, without asking anyone.

How fast can a restaurant start on Reserving?

The same day. Create an account, pay by card, enter your tables, turn times and service windows, and paste the booking widget on your site. There is no demo call required, and the live demo on this page runs the same booking engine on a sample restaurant.
